Don't be afraid to ask who will be performing the work in your home. After all, it is your home and the workers will be around you and your family. Will the person you are discussing the job with be working on the job or are they just a salesman you'll never see again? Are they using subcontractors or in-house staff? If using sub-contractors, how well do they know the sub-contractors employees. Ask if they have had any problems. Before starting your job, know who is working in your home and feel comfortable with that before you start any job or you could be left feeling uncomfortable in your own home while work is being done.
